؟ Do I need to change my name?هل يجب أن أغيّر اسمي؟
No. Changing your name is not required. Many Muslims keep their birth names; adopting an Arabic name is entirely optional.لا. تغيير الاسم ليس شرطاً. كثيرٌ من المسلمين يبقون على أسمائهم، واتخاذ اسمٍ عربيّ أمرٌ اختياريّ تماماً.
؟ Do I need a witness or ceremony?هل أحتاج إلى شاهدٍ أو حفل؟
No ceremony is required. The Shahada is between you and Allah. Saying it before others at a mosque is recommended for support, but your sincerity is what matters.لا حاجة إلى أي طقس. فالشهادة بينك وبين الله. ويُستحبّ النطق بها أمام الناس في المسجد للدعم، لكنّ الأهمّ هو صدق نيّتك.
؟ What about my previous sins?وماذا عن ذنوبي السابقة؟
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Islam wipes away whatever came before it." When you sincerely take the Shahada, all previous sins are forgiven, you begin anew.قال النبي ﷺ: «الإسلام يهدم ما كان قبله». فإذا نطقت الشهادة صادقاً غُفر لك ما سبق، وبدأت صفحةً جديدة.
؟ Do I need to know Arabic?هل يلزمني تعلّم العربية؟
No. You can worship Allah in any language. Learning a little Arabic, especially Al-Fatiha for prayer, is encouraged but not a condition.لا. يمكنك عبادة الله بأيّ لغة. وتعلّم شيءٍ من العربية، خاصةً الفاتحة للصلاة، مستحبّ لكنه ليس شرطاً.

Islam is a journey, not a one-day test. Allah is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful. Sincere intention and gradual improvement is what is asked.الإسلام رحلةٌ لا اختبارٌ في يومٍ واحد. والله غفورٌ رحيم. والمطلوب صدق النيّة والتحسّن التدريجي.
؟ Is Islam just for Arabs?هل الإسلام للعرب فقط؟
Not at all. The Quran says: "O mankind, We created you... that you may know one another." (49:13). Islam is for all of humanity.إطلاقاً. يقول القرآن: «يا أيها الناس إنّا خلقناكم... لتعارفوا» (٤٩:١٣). فالإسلام للبشرية جمعاء.

❝ Does Islam oppress women?هل يضطهد الإسلام المرأة؟
✓ On the contrary. Islam gave women the rights to own property, inherit, seek knowledge, keep their own name, and consent to marriage, fourteen centuries ago. The Prophet ﷺ placed Paradise at the feet of mothers and commanded kindness to women.بل العكس. منح الإسلام المرأة حقّ التملّك والإرث وطلب العلم والاحتفاظ باسمها والموافقة على الزواج، قبل أربعة عشر قرناً. وجعل النبيُّ ﷺ الجنّة تحت أقدام الأمّهات، وأوصى بالنساء خيراً.
❝ Was Islam spread by the sword?هل انتشر الإسلام بالسيف؟
✓ The Quran is clear: "There is no compulsion in religion" (2:256). The largest Muslim nations today, Indonesia and Malaysia, embraced Islam through trade and good character, never reached by any Muslim army.القرآن صريح: «لا إكراه في الدين». وأكبر دول المسلمين اليوم، إندونيسيا وماليزيا، دخلت الإسلام عن طريق التجارة وحُسن الخلق، ولم يصلها جيشٌ مسلمٌ قطّ.
❝ Do Muslims worship Muhammad?هل يعبد المسلمون محمداً؟
✓ No. Muslims worship Allah alone, with no partner. Muhammad ﷺ is His final messenger, a human being who is loved and followed, but never worshipped.لا. يعبد المسلمون الله وحده لا شريك له. ومحمد ﷺ رسوله الخاتم، بشرٌ يُحَبّ ويُتّبع، ولا يُعبد أبداً.
❝ Does Islam reject Jesus?هل يرفض الإسلام عيسى؟
✓ Far from it. A Muslim's faith is not complete without loving and honouring Jesus (Isa) as one of the greatest prophets. The Quran even honours his mother Maryam with an entire chapter in her name.أبعد ما يكون. لا يكتمل إيمان المسلم إلا بمحبّة عيسى وتعظيمه نبيّاً من أعظم الأنبياء. بل خصّ القرآن أمّه مريم بسورةٍ كاملةٍ باسمها.

✓ The Quran teaches that to kill one innocent soul is as if to kill all of mankind (5:32). The very word Islam comes from peace and submission to God. It condemns terrorism and aggression, it does not command them.يعلّم القرآن أنّ قتل نفسٍ بريئة كقتل الناس جميعاً. وكلمة «الإسلام» نفسها من السلام والاستسلام لله. وهو يُدين الإرهاب والعدوان، لا يأمر بهما.
