The Prohibitions in Islamالمحرّمات في الإسلام

Shirk is the one sin Allah will not forgive if a person dies upon it, because it denies the very purpose of creation: to worship Him alone. It nullifies all good deeds.الشرك هو الذنب الوحيد الذي لا يغفره الله لمن مات عليه، لأنه يناقض الغاية من الخلق: أن يُعبد وحده. وهو يُحبط كل عملٍ صالح.

Sorcery seeks power through devils instead of Allah and harms people. The Prophet ﷺ listed it among the seven gravest, destructive sins, second only to shirk.السحر طلبٌ للقوة عن طريق الشياطين دون الله، وفيه أذى للناس. وقد عدّه النبي ﷺ من السبع الموبقات المهلكات، يلي الشرك مباشرة.

Islam makes every human life sacred. Taking one life unjustly is weighed as an assault on all humanity, and the murderer carries an immense burden before Allah.جعل الإسلام كل نفسٍ إنسانية مقدّسة. وقتل نفسٍ واحدة ظلماً يُوزن كاعتداءٍ على البشرية جمعاء، ويحمل القاتل وزراً عظيماً عند الله.

Riba grows wealth without real work or shared risk, exploiting the needy and hoarding money in few hands. Allah declared war on those who persist in it (2:279) and strips its blessing.الربا يُنمّي المال بلا عملٍ حقيقي ولا مشاركةٍ في المخاطرة، فيستغلّ المحتاج ويكنز المال في أيدٍ قليلة. وقد آذن الله من يُصرّ عليه بحرب (٢:٢٧٩)، ومحق بركته.

The orphan has lost their protector and cannot defend their rights. Stealing their wealth is among the seven destructive sins, and the Quran pictures it as swallowing fire.اليتيم فقد من يحميه ولا يقدر على الدفاع عن حقّه. وأكل ماله من السبع الموبقات، وقد صوّره القرآن أكلاً للنار في البطون.

Allah forbids even drawing near it, closing every path that leads to it. Zina destroys families, confuses lineage, spreads disease, and wounds the dignity of all involved.نهى الله عن مجرّد الاقتراب منه، سدّاً لكل طريقٍ يؤدّي إليه. فالزنا يهدم الأسر، ويخلط الأنساب، وينشر الأمراض، ويجرح كرامة أصحابه.

Islam protects the mind. Intoxicants cloud reason and open the door to every other sin; gambling devours wealth and breeds enmity. The Prophet ﷺ said: every intoxicant is khamr, and every khamr is forbidden (Muslim).الإسلام يحفظ العقل. والمسكرات تُغيّب الرشد وتفتح باب كل معصية، والميسر يلتهم المال ويُورث العداوة. قال النبي ﷺ: «كل مسكرٍ خمر، وكل مسكرٍ حرام» (مسلم).

Allah ties kindness to parents directly to His own worship. Even a sigh of annoyance is forbidden. Disobeying and hurting parents is counted among the greatest sins.قرن الله الإحسان إلى الوالدين بعبادته مباشرة. وحُرّم حتى التأفّف. وعقوق الوالدين وإيذاؤهما معدودٌ من أكبر الكبائر.

These carry harm to body and soul: carrion and blood breed disease, swine carries impurities, and meat offered to other than Allah corrupts belief. Genuine necessity, within limits, is excused.في هذه أذى للبدن والروح: فالميتة والدم مظنّة المرض، والخنزير يحمل النجاسات، وما ذُبح لغير الله يُفسد العقيدة. والضرورة الحقيقية بقدرها معفوّ عنها.

Lying corrupts the heart, betrays trust, and opens the door to every other sin. Truthfulness is the foundation of faith, and one who persists in lying is branded a liar before Allah.الكذب يُفسد القلب ويخون الأمانة ويفتح باب كل معصية. والصدق أساس الإيمان، ومن أدمن الكذب كُتب عند الله كذّاباً.

Arrogance was the very first sin, the sin of Iblis. The Prophet ﷺ defined it as rejecting the truth and looking down on people. All greatness belongs to Allah alone.الكبر أوّل معصية عُصي الله بها، معصية إبليس. وقد فسّره النبي ﷺ بأنه «بَطَرُ الحقّ وغَمْطُ الناس». والكبرياء لله وحده.

Allah forbade injustice even upon Himself. Oppression will be darkness on the Day of Judgement, and the supplication of the wronged is never turned away, even from a disbeliever.حرّم الله الظلم على نفسه. والظلم ظلماتٌ يوم القيامة، ودعوة المظلوم لا تُردّ ولو كان كافراً.

Allah took the name of kinship (rahim) from His own name Ar-Rahman. Keeping family ties widens provision and lengthens life, while cutting them bars one from Paradise.اشتقّ الله اسم الرحِم من اسمه الرحمن. وصلة الرحم تبسط الرزق وتزيد في العمر، وقطيعتها تحرم الجنة.

Your soul is a trust from Allah, not yours to take. Every hardship is a test that carries reward and an end, despair is never the way, and Allah's mercy is vast.نفسك أمانةٌ من الله لا تملك إزهاقها. وكل شدّةٍ ابتلاءٌ له أجرٌ ونهاية، واليأس ليس طريقاً، ورحمة الله واسعة.

Bribery corrupts justice and devours people's rights, so both giver and taker are cursed. It spreads oppression and rots a society from within.الرشوة تُفسد القضاء وتأكل حقوق الناس، فلُعن دافعها وآخذها. وهي تنشر الظلم وتنخر المجتمع من داخله.

Cheating in trade, work, or any dealing strips away blessing and removes a person from the way of the Prophet ﷺ. Islam is built on honesty and trustworthy dealing.الغش في البيع والعمل والمعاملة يمحق البركة ويُخرج صاحبه عن هدي النبي ﷺ. والإسلام قائمٌ على الصدق وأمانة التعامل.

Despair of Allah's mercy is counted among the traits of disbelief, because His mercy encompasses all things. However many your sins, the door of repentance stays open until your last breath.اليأس من رحمة الله معدودٌ من صفات الكفر، لأن رحمته وسعت كل شيء. ومهما كثرت ذنوبك فباب التوبة مفتوحٌ حتى آخر نفَس.
